have read this book twice and found it to be an enlightening and enjoyable read both times.

it is a fictional but historic representation of the jewish tribes going back to the earliest settlers of what is modern day israel and moving forward through time to the founding of israel and the various regional conflicts that have occurred.

recommended as an enjoyable novel from a skilled author, but i am also curious as to a scholarly view of this novel, has anyone else read it?
